When Indiana defeated the Chicago Sky in overtime in June, Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark put on one of the most memorable performances of the WNBA season. Clark ended the game with 32 points and 10 assists, while Boston finished with 34 points and 12 rebounds. They were the first teammates in WNBA history to post a 30-point double-double in the same game thanks to their performances. Boston's strength, finishing prowess, and ability to rebound inside the paint all contributed. She surpassed Mitchell's prior Fever regular-season record of 38 points with the effort. Additionally, Clark made WNBA history by being the first player to score at least 40 points and dish out 10 assists in one game. Her performance demonstrated her impact as a creator and a scorer. Clark is one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league thanks to her long-range shooting, basketball attack, and pass delivery skills.
Mitchell Breaks Her Own Record
Additionally, Mitchell has left her mark in the WNBA record books. She scored 27 points against the Chicago Sky on August 8, marking her 16th straight game with at least 20 points. That run created a new WNBA single-season record. Indiana won 90–86 because to Clark's 26 points and 11 assists. The two guards combined for 53 points.
