Another thrilling comeback for Barcelona as they defeated Levante 3-2 in a La Liga match. Levante took an unexpected 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Iván Romero and José Luis Morales (penalty). Barcelona seemed disheveled when Marcus Rashford, who had started, was substituted at halftime.
However, Barcelona’s coach Hansi Flick made key changes early in the second half, bringing on Dani Olmo and Andreas Christensen. Pedri scored a stunning long-range goal almost immediately after the restart, followed by Ferran Torres equalizing from a corner kick. Barcelona dominated the second half with strong attacking play.
The winner came late in stoppage time, but it was an own goal from Levante defender Unai Elgezabal, who headed a dangerous Lamine Yamal cross into his own net, completing Barcelona’s comeback.
This win keeps Barcelona unbeaten and top of the La Liga standings early in the season, but it exposed defensive lapses and some shaky moments against newly promoted Levante. The team will need to tighten defensively as the season progresses.
